Success! Zero Parking + Daycare for Our E 4th Project

We are incredibly proud to have received public hearing approval for our mixed-use project on E 4th Street in North Vancouver.

We are incredibly proud to have received public hearing approval for our mixed-use project on E 4th Street in North Vancouver. This will be the first building on the North Shore with zero parking. In place of parking, we will be providing a much-needed childcare facility for 24 children. It’s essential that these childcare facilities are located throughout the community. To be successful, they need to be close to where people live and work.

Complete communities offer a mix of housing options, a good range of jobs, and easy access to stores and services, schools, childcare and parks. The close proximity of these amenities provides residents with more choices about how to move about their neighbourhood and encourages less driving and more walking.

It is these types of creative and progressive developments that make for strong and liveable communities. We commend the City of North Vancouver staff and Council for having the vision, along with many of our supporters, to acknowledge that meaningful change to our housing, climate and childcare crisis takes creative and sometimes unpopular choices to make a difference.

We are committed to building complete and inclusive communities. We feel confident and excited that this project will successfully achieve its goal of bringing a culture and lifestyle to residents who want to live, work and play in their community without the need or desire to own a vehicle. We are also proud to work with the City of North Vancouver to achieve their targets of bringing more childcare spaces to North Vancouver and help employers and families who desperately need more daycare facilities in our communities.
